X-Men: First Class (2011)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1270798/

I thought this movie was good. It answered questions. When Erik was young and was in Sebastian Shaw's office I could not help think (once they showed the whole office) "what a creepy office". Why would anyone want to have a wall of mirrors in their office. Maybe when he met with the enslaved members and wanted information from them he would lead them to that room and torture them. In this film Xavier looks like he is about 10 years younger then Erik. I thought they were the same age. In the second and third X-Men you see Hank and you would have never known until you saw this film that he liked Mystique. Which brings me to Xavier "adopting" Mystique as a sister and they never seemed like they knew or even liked each other in any other X-Men.

Tell me your thoughts on this film.

  1. I did like that they brought back the original woman who played Erik's Mother. I enjoyed the film over all. More than anything it was a reboot. I mean we all remember in the the third X-Men and in Wolverine that when Erik and Charles were scouting for mutants, well, CHARLES WAS BALD! And in his brief cameo in Wolverine, he was BALD then and could walk. I like to think of this as a stand alone film with hopeful sequels. Well acted. And gotta love some Hugh Jackman cameos!
